The Lion King III: Inheritance takes place shortly after the events in The Lion King II (after a brief prologue that takes place between the two films). It focuses on a forgotten plot thread from TLK I: the hyenas. From TLK II, we only know that they 'ran off' from the Elephant Graveyard; there is no explanation as to why. There is also no obvious reasons as to exactly why they were forced to live there in the first place, when other predators (we see cheetahs at the beginning of TLK I) are allowed to live in the Pridelands. That story will address some of those questions ... and hopefully make the readers (as well as the main characters!) think a little about what truly defines 'good' and 'evil.'

Also, as a side note: This is only MY version of what happened. It's a fancomic! I'm going to try to stick to as much canon as I can, and then branch off from there into my own ideas.

Lastly, I've re-worked the story quite a bit, and dropped/added some characters. Kohu will no longer play a part of the story, mostly because people tend to identify her with me and she wasn't originally supposed to be. In her place will be another lioness character that should be a better fit!
