Alright well, I haven't really done an official critique before, it's usually just me faning but I'll try on this one....
Alright let's start with the background. I don't know what you're talking about, the background it beautiful. The lighting on the rocks and the sun in the back is wonderful. The hyena, wonderful shading on it, I love shading on eyes.
The originality gets four stars, and the only reason it's not five is because ocean scenes are quite popular, but you did it justice with the little out-cove you created.
Technique, perfect. You're art is amazing, you draw hyenas and lions alike perfectly, no mistakes.
So overall this is a VERY nice piece and.... keep it up.
I guess that's because in TLK, they were supposed to be villains. The problem is, why do villains always have to look unattractive anyway? Why can't they just make the villains look as "pretty" as the good guys? In real life, the bad guys aren't necessarily any "uglier" than the good guys. I think they should reflect that in kids' movies too.
I completely agree. xD Most Disney villains fall between the extremes = either really ugly or (supposedly) really good-looking, like Gaston from Beauty and the Beast or Hans from Frozen. It would be nice to see an average-looking guy be the villain for once, or an average-looking person be the hero (again, heroes go between the extremes as well, which is annoying).
